HTutoring was formed in Chicago with the purpose of elevating the confidence and aptitude of students in mathematics. HTutoring primarily serves students attending both public and private schools in Los Angeles County and in the Chicagoland area. No matter the location of our students, our original mission remains the same - to assist and guide each student through the rigors of their math class in a positive and individualized learning setting.

About the Founder

Holden Tran graduated in 2009 from Northwestern University with a B.A. in Mathematics. Throughout his college years, he did extensive research in areas of applied and pure mathematics but found teaching to be his true calling. He went on to work as both a tutor and curriculum developer for several educational companies, including Mathnasium, a learning center dedicated to helping students improve their math skills. In 2011, Holden started HTutoring in the city of Chicago with the mission to instill within each student an individualized level of confidence with mathematics. After 10 years of serving the community of Diamond Bar, CA and its surrounding cities, HTutoring relocated its physical location to Chicago, IL in 2023. Holden’s resume can be found here.
